2000 Spanish Doctors adopt Abacus web-based learning systems in 2008

2000 Spanish health professionals will practice reading, writing, listening and speaking English using Abacus' web EFL learning resources in 2008. Abacus in conjunction with its local academic partner will present 3 quarterly learning programmes.

"Each course participant undertakes a placement test and is then assigned a learning group", says Stephen Byrne, Abacus CEO. "Over a 12-week cycle, the student follows a course appropriate to their level of English and their professional interests. At the end of the learning programme, students undertake an exit test designed to check their progress".

Given the doctors extensive work commitments, this approach combined with their own remote tutor, allows them to pursue their studies at any time, and in any place equipped with a computer and an internet connection.
